Originally a 17th century nobleman's mansion belonging to the family of Count Flamburiari, the building was partly bombed during the Second World War. The original walls and facade were kept when the Cavalieri was created in 1967. The hotel has been completely renovated recently, is open all year around and offers 50 rooms in total, with 5 single, 36 twin and 9 maisonette-style rooms. Facilities available to guests at the air-conditioned hotel include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and a cloakroom. Lift access, a TV lounge, a breakfast room and room service are also available.There are a great number of maisonette-type suites. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with bright English Chintzes, traditional furniture, wall to wall carpets, remote control TV, individually regulated air conditioning and attractive prints on the walls. All of the bedrooms have modern en suite bathrooms with a bathtub, hairdryer, hand showers and even direct dial telephones in the bathrooms. Other in-room amenities include a radio, safe and minibar. The hotel also offers daily cleaning and linen change.
